January '20 Update
Hello from Africa!
I started off 2020 with a five week trip chocked full of pastoral training, conferences, and a vision trip to Malaysia. Right now, I’m in Malawi at the Central African Preaching Academy (CAPA) teaching the pastors bibliology, theology proper, and a preaching class called “Text to Sermon”. So you can get to know CAPA a little bit better, we’ve recorded a short interview with Dean Gideon Manda.
After I’m done in Malawi, I will then head to Davao, Philippines to meet up with a short term missions team from Calvary Bible Church. From there, I’ll travel to Malaysia for a few days visiting GMI missionaries Joshua and Julie Lee to see what the needs are in their area and for mutual encouragement. Then I head back to the Philippines for pastoral training in Baguio and a conference in Malolos. PHEW.
Please be praying for my stamina and endurance during this long trip. Also, pray that I would be accurate and clear in all that I teach and that the men would be helped in caring for Christ’s flock.
Unfortunately, Tina was unable to join him as planned due to some responsibilities that popped up at home. Please also be praying for her perseverance as she cares for her sick mom and daughter, Hannah, who is having complications with her pregnancy.
