February '20 Update
Trip Review in Pictures
The last few weeks have been busy! After training in Malawi for a week, I flew straight to Davao, Philippines and met up with the Calvary Bible Church short term mission team. I’m now in Malaysia for a few days before going back to the Philippines for my last week of training in Manila.
As I prepare for the last portion of my 5 week trip, I have been reflecting on the many wonderful experiences and opportunities to serve the Lord that I’ve had.
While in Davao, I was able to not only do some training with local pastors and leaders but also to participate in several outreaches with our mission team from my local church. It was a special joy to have my daughter, Carissa, be a part of that team and to serve the Lord with her in sharing the gospel. We were able to do this in hospitals and in the local neighborhoods and malls and parks. So many were open to hearing the gospel and would gladly take a Bible and a tract.
On Monday, I left for Malaysia to spend a few days with Joshua and Julie Lee and their family. They are planting a church in the Kuala Lumpur area. It was a great blessing to stay with the family and to be able to offer help and encouragement in the hard work here. I also had an opportunity to spend some time with a few of the men in the church. Please pray for the Lord’s direction regarding future opportunities to do some training here.
I leave for the Manila area in the morning and will be serving at three different churches doing seminars, pastoral training, and then preaching on Sundays. Please continue to pray not only for my health and safety and effectiveness for the Lord but also for strength for Tina while I am gone these last 10 days.
