Our Vision for Pastor Training Ministry

Tim’s vision is to equip pastors both locally and internationally that they may better understand God’s Word, and more accurately teach it to their own congregations. He primarily works with The Master’s Academy International (TMAI) and the MacArthur Expository Centers. He also serves part of the year as Pastor of Missions and Discipleship at Calvary Bible Church, Burbank. He received his seminary training  (Th.M) and his Doctor of Ministries from The Master’s Seminary.

Tina is privileged to join Tim on many of his trips and serve the pastor’s wives and women of their respective congregations. She has taught at many seminars, conferences, and bible studies over the years.

Tim and tina’s STory

Tim and Tina were saved in 1986 as a part of the college outreach at Grace Community Church. They were trained in discipleship and evangelism at the UCLA Bible Study, and continued in that ministry until 1994 when Tim received his Ph.D in Electrical Engineering. The family moved to Boise, Idaho, where Tim worked in the semiconductor industry, and the family ministered in the local church through Home Discipleship groups and Bible studies.  

The family moved back to California where Tim began seminary training in 2004 and the family began attending Calvary Bible Church, Burbank. Tim graduated from the Master’s Seminary with a Masters of Divinity in 2007. Tim and Tina have served in various teaching and discipleship ministries at the local church level.  Tim has served in the counseling ministry, teaching the men in leadership, discipleship and training classes, the congregation in teaching Bible Study methods as well as the pulpit ministry from 2012-2015.

However, after training pastors on several short term missions trips, Tim felt called to spend more time investing in pastoral equipping seeing the dire need for expository training in many parts of the world. His time abroad has energized him to invest in the gospel proclamation through an accurate understanding of God’s Word. This progress can be multiplied as the pastors apply their training to their own congregations.

Tim and Tina feel privileged to have discipled their five children who are now serving in various church ministries. Each of them walking with the Lord and participating in the work of proclaiming Christ in their respective spheres of influence.

Tina has enjoyed her many years home schooling her 5 children through their 8th grade year of school as well as her participation in small group discipleship, leading and writing women’s Bible studies, and home discipleship groups with Tim.

Both Tim and Tina have a passion for the study and application of God’s word.
