April '22 Update
We're Back in the Travel Game!
I know that these updates have been less frequent since COVID hit in April 2020. And that's because with travel restrictions, month after month, it's been wash, rinse, repeat.
I teach one of my five groups a week via Zoom, prep the class notes to send to them, and grade. So most of my updates have sounded the same and the pictures are variations of this:
HOWEVER; now that travel restrictions have been lifted in many parts of the world, I am able to plan in-person training again! My first trip in two years was to South Asia as I mentioned in my last update.
I am also planning the following trips for the rest of this year:
June 3-15 || India, GMI regional conference
June 16-July 4 || Philippines: teaching modules 3 and 4 in CDO and Cebu
July 15-Aug 1 || South Asia, teaching module 2 and preaching conferences
Sept - Oct 15 || Philippines: teaching modules 4 and 5 in CDO and Cebu; minster in Baquio, Manila and Davao
More details to come in future updates. But, in the meantime, your prayers for these trips would be greatly appreciated.
Meet Pastor Harris
When the lock downs took place due to COVID, I offered to teach a class on Zoom to any of the graduates of our Expository Preaching Program in the Philippines graduates who wanted more in-depth training in studying and preaching. That group is shown in the picture above.
One of those pastors (upper left corner), Harris Vaugh Batayen, was among the first graduates of the program. He planted a church in the Manila area last year, which, even in the midst of the many lock downs, has been doing very well. Please take a moment to watch his short testimony of the training he has received.

for their congregations to return to fellowship
for the advancement of the gospel in their churches.
Please continue to pray for the Pakistani pastors:
their protection
finances to fund training and provide for them
their ministries
Continue to pray also for our Afghani brothers and sisters:
safety
health
financial needs
a place to settle
encouragement
Please pray for me as I prepare not only for the ongoing weekly classes but also the extra preparation for these upcoming trips.
Pray for Tina in our trip to India that she would be able to sleep on the flight and that we would be a blessing to the other missionaries at the GMI conference.
