Christmas Banquets


Thank you for your prayers about my trip to South Asia!
I arrived on Saturday early morning (we are talking 2am early) and was greeted by several of the brothers from the class.

The next day, I had the privilege to preach at the church of one of my students. It was a great time of fellowship with the believers there. They were very gracious in welcoming me.

Then we had our Expository Preaching Class where we continued learning how to study and preach from the prophetic books. In the next class in March, they will be preaching from Zechariah. Please pray for their study and preparation.

Christmas Banquets

I now prepare to speak at several Christmas banquets. We will have music, a special meal, a children’s presentation of the Christmas story, and handing out Bibles as gifts. I will be giving the gospel message. Each banquet will have at least 300 in attendance, most of whom are Muslim. Prominent doctors, lawyers, judges, and government officials have accepted the invitation to attend. They have also invited several news organizations to come so it will be broadcast on the national news.

The banquets are planned for the evenings of Saturday, Monday, and Wednesday (which will be morning time in the U.S.). We also have a banquet planned at a large medical university on Friday and I will be meeting with the University President.

Prayer Requests

  • Please pray for the spread of the gospel in South Asia.

  • Pray for the believers here to be steadfast and courageous.

  • Please also be in prayer for my visit to the city where many churches and Christian homes were burned recently. We plan to visit with the families there and to gather the believers for a conference where I will be speaking.
