Support for Upcoming Malawi Trip
This August, I am so thankful to be partnering with my daughter, Carissa, and her team from Grace Community Church as we go to Malawi to assist the Central African Preaching Academy. What a joy! Here is her letter that I wanted to share with you all. Please consider supporting her financially and by praying for us this summer.
Dear Family and Friends,God has been so gracious these past two years at UCLA. He has grown me, encouraged me, sanctified me, and cultivated a heart for evangelism in me. As we have been entrusted with His gospel, I pray that God would use me for His glory in sharing it in all areas of my life. This summer He has opened the door to serve him outside UCLA’s mission field, and go to Malawi, Africa. Please pray that we honor God through this trip, and that the name of Christ be glorified through our service.

PRAYER NEEDSPray that the students would learn to study, practice, and teach God’s Word this coming school year.Pray that we would be humble and servant-hearted, as Christ is.Pray that we would be an encouragement to the Ayres family and the other missionaries.Pray that we would grow in our love for God and His great commission.
I am well aware that the success of this trip is dependent on the Lord and your prayer support. Along with your prayers, if you would like to partner with us financially, please send a check payable to Grace Community Church with “For the team of Carissa Carns” in the memo line. You can also give to this ministry online by going to https://www.gracechurch.org/stm and selecting my name under "Malawi 2017: Carns, Carissa” Your tax-deductible donation will go toward covering the costs of the trip, which is about $2,800 per person. Our hope is that you will not only consider supporting this trip, but may also join us in prayer as we search out God’s will in determining our long-term plans. In Christ,Carissa Carns1 Chronicles 16:23-24
